Cake container and cupcake liner sizes

Cupcake liner sizes in cm, cake slice and dome cake containers, dessert containers and cake boards listed by A1 Traders in Lahore, with sizing tips.

Buying guide · A1 Traders · Published · Sizes from the A1 Traders catalogue

Short answer: A1 Traders lists cupcake liners by size in centimetres, from 5 cm to 14 cm, and lists cake containers by type and model code rather than by cake weight. For single slices there are clear cake slice containers, for a whole cake a round dome container, and for desserts and pastries a pastry container, a heart-shaped canister, a gold foil baking cup with lid and small dessert cups; golden and silver cake boards come in round, square and triangle shapes. The tables show each size or model code exactly as the product name states it.

Most product pages also have a photo with the measurements marked on it. Use that photo with the tips below to check that your cake fits before you order a full pack. For everything else a bakery needs, see bakery packaging.

Cupcake liner sizes

Cupcake liners with a size in the name, by size and by the colour or finish the name gives. The cm figure is the size as listed; makers do not all measure liners the same way, so check the base width and wall height on each product's measurement photo before you order for your baking tray.

How to choose a cake box or container size

  • Measure the cake, not the weight. The same weight of cake can be wide and low or narrow and tall, so note the diameter (or the length and width) and the height including cream, toppings and decorations.
  • Leave a little room. A container that is exactly the size of the cake can smudge the icing; a small gap on every side and above the tallest decoration is generally safer.
  • Measure the board too. If the cake sits on a cake board, the board has to fit inside the container, so check the board's size against the container's base.
  • Slices travel in their own container. A cake slice container holds one cut piece; compare the depth and height of your slice with the photo with measurements.
  • For display and gifting, clear containers show the cake; PET hinged food boxes and kraft bakery boxes are other options for pastries and bakes.
  • Order one pack first when you change cake size or start delivering, test it with a real cake, then reorder by product code.

Frequently asked questions

Does A1 Traders sell 1 pound or 2 pound cake boxes?

The catalogue does not list cake boxes by weight. It lists clear cake slice containers, a round dome cake container, a pastry container, a kraft bakery box and cake boards, each by shape or model code. Send your cake's diameter and height on WhatsApp and ask which listed container fits.

What sizes do the cupcake liners come in?

Cupcake liners with a size in the name are listed from 5 cm to 14 cm. There are also tulip, boat-shaped, square-bottom and foil baking cups listed without a size in the name; their product pages have a photo with measurements.

Which container is for a single slice of cake?

Use a cake slice container. The Cake Slice & Pastry Containers category lists a clear triangle cake slice container and a clear cake slice container; their model codes are in the table on this page.

How do I choose the right cake box size?

Measure the cake's diameter (or length and width) and its height including decorations, allow a little room on each side and on top, and compare with the photo with measurements on the product page. If you are unsure, send the measurements on WhatsApp before you order.

Do you sell cake boards?

Yes. The Cupcake Liners & Baking Cups category lists golden round, square and triangle cake plates and silver round and triangle cake boards. Their names do not state a size, so check the photo with measurements on each product page.
